First saw Jon and Colosseum at The Bath Music Festival in 1969 as a 17yr old schoolboy. From then he became something of an icon for me and though we never met, he positively influenced aspects of my life from afar.
He has gone, but we can take comfort from the knowledge that his music lives on.

Jon, I have admired your work ever since I heard your contributions to the first Jack Bruce album, "Songs for a Tailor". The Colosseum, Tempest and Colosseum II albums are still in regular play for me along with other albums you were involved with such as Ian Carr's "Belladonna" and the United Jazz+Rock Ensemble as well as Paraphernalia. Thank you for providing part of the soundtrack to my life. You are missed already.

I met him with Colosseum, Colosseum II and Paraphernalia and some times he signed my pictures and cds.
God bless him and I am so sorry that he passed away.
Rest in peace Jon!
