Always remembering to one of the greatest Drummer of the world - Jon Hiseman. I met him with Colosseum, Colosseum II and Paraphernalia and some times he signed my pictures and cds. God bless him and I am so sorry that he passed away. Rest in peace Jon!

Jon was a very special person. When I was 18 I joined the crew for Colosseum my main responsibilities were to set up Jon's kit,I stayed with him until Colosseum disbanded and then I went on to work for Tempest. In all those years I found Jon to be kind and very generous. In later years I new I could always call him and he would always be there if you needed support or help.It was a very sad day when he left us, far to young and with so much more to give. I send all my Love to his family at this difficult time, he has left a huge Legacy which will help them through this terrible loss . Rest in Peace, missing you ... Clive

From the first time I saw Jon perform I was taken in by his musicianship and from that moment followed many of the projects which he performed right up to JCM and The Stables. I will never forget some of the conversations, tips and humour. Jon became the foundation for much of my own playing and often even today I think "I wonder what Jon would do here!" Cheers for many great memories and we miss you.

Heard Jon first on the Live Colosseum record in ’71, next saw him with Tempest in Linköping, Sweden in ’73, then I met one of my best friend and my best man at my wedding when we discussed the best drummel in ’75, we both thought Jon was the best, fourth saw Colosseum II in Stockholm, Sweden in ’76. Fifth saw Colosseum in Äänekoski, Finland in ’11, sixth was at Shepherds Bush and the last hurray in’15 and finally JCM at the Stables, Milton Keynes in ’18........he’s been around me for a Long time and will be! Thanks Jon for the music!

I took a Jazz 101 class in college and we were asked to write a paper about a jazz musician as our final assignment. I somehow hit on Jon Hiseman for my subject and looked for every album of his I could find. I had some Colloseum, Jack Bruce, Colloseum II as my starting points and they all opened my ears to new and fascinating sounds and rhythms. I am so glad I wrote that paper and discovered Jon's work. I hope his family and friends find some solace in his legacy.

I interviewed Jon earlier this year for an article in Rock Society magazine, and I found Jon to be a warm and very engaging raconteur, with some great stories to tell. I've always enjoyed his music and, despite his sad demise, his legacy will remain.

Without Jon’s great musical vision, Colosseum, the best live band ever I have had the privilege to witness perform, would never have existed and the world would have certainly been much the poorer for it. Jon was truly a pioneer and hugely charismatic , gifted individual whose influence in the world of great memorable music cannot be underestimated. His peerless drumming skills , in my view , was the stuff of legends, and he had few equals. It was a privilege to meet him on the very last Colosseum gig at Shepherds Bush, and a memory I will cherish forever. Despite his passing, his legacy and vision will live on, as will the enduring memory of a true musical pioneer.

I was aware of Jon Hiseman, via Georgie Fame, Grahan Bond and John Mayall. It was only after I had seen Colosseum at The Marquee Club, in Wardour Street, that I became a committed fan. John Mayall, whose band Dick, Jon and Tony, had recently left got up on stage and did a few numbers with them. This tacit affirmation from The Father Of British Blues, augured well for the fledgling group. Over the years, I was fortunate to see the band many times and the pleasure I have derived from live performance and recorded works by these musicians, is incalculable. I would like to thank them all for the gifts they so generously bestowed and offer my sincere condolences to the families, fans and friends of Dick and Jon. Also, to the other Heroes, who have passed over, their spirits travel on.
