It was in the early 90s' in my university years, when a friend of mine introduced me into the musical world of Colosseum. 1 or 2 years later it was unbelievable to see the first posters of the Reunion.... I hardly believed it. Since than I was present on gigs all the time when Colosseum stepped on the land of my country. Truly mesmerizing experiences..... I was so sad when I read what happened to Jon, unfortunately I could not be in the Porgy & Bess, (Vienna)...no more chance. And it's really a remarkable resemblance how my other favorite musician, Luther Allison passed away in 1997. His very very-kind personality I remember...I managed to take some shot after the gigs. Lost Angeles, Memories Forever.... My deepest sympathies to your family.

I followed Jon from being a teenager to my 70th year. Mayall, Colosseum (s), Tempest, Paraphernalia and various Jazz excursions, particularly with my other heroes, Jack Bruce and DHS. A true inspiration to all musicians and a real gentleman, having time to talk to fans. Very sadly missed. Love to Barbara and his family. R.I.P.

I am so sad to read of the death of Jon Hiseman, one of THE great drummers and who I was fortunate enough to see twice with Colosseum II. I have followed his career since buying Daughter of Time from a friend back in the 70s - watching the 1994 Reunion Concert dvd next time will be extremely poignant.

Since 1969 I’ve been a fan of Colosseum and Jon and Barbara. The music has meant so much to me and is constantly played by me on one device or another. I was so pleased to be able to make 2 JCM gigs in the UK and able to speak with Jon on both occasions so what a shock when he left us! He will be missed by so many people and I’ve had numerous friends enquire about his passing. My love to all the Hiseman family and the Colosseum family, because that’s what we are!!

I first became aware of Jon Hiseman in 1972, when I heard his dynamic drumming and musicianship on the doubledecker "Colosseum Live", an almost physical tour de force (if this makes any sense). Now he is gone - - and yet he is still here with us. I listen to Rope Ladder and am comforted. Peace, peace.
