I saw Colosseum in the early 70s at Huddersfield Poly. It was a great show and we were there as the band van was leaving after the gig. We waved and Jon gave us a thumbs up. I've never forgotten that.
Jon was a tremendous talent, an absolute powerhouse of a drummer. He will be sorely missed. Very sad indeed.

I saw Jon playing countless times over the last fifty years, in numerous different band settings, and he was never less than inspitational, and over all those years gave me more continuous inspiration than any other musician I have heard.
I found him charming, very intelligent, extremely modest and with a great sense of humour. He is greatly missed.
Rest in peace Jon.

I saw Colosseum at the town hall in Oxford in 1970, (I think), that turned me onto Jon big time. I saw Colosseum several more times over the years and never lost my appreciation for them - fair thee well JH and may your god go with you.

Jon Hiseman awe inspiring musician,I was sold on Coliseum from the off,as a youngster in London I got to see Tempest @ the Beeb recording studio's for the saturday night live (almost ) shows on the radio. I was an 18 year old drummer at the time and awe inspired, nicked a few of Jon's chops ( the easier ones ) such an incredible player / musician and followed through his music ever since. sincere condolences to Barbara and family I hope the tribute gets to B.C Canada.

Became a fan when Colosseum fearured on Peel's Top Gear. Rushed out and bought the first album. Been a fan ever since. Talked to Jon briefly after a Paraphernalia gig at the Bull's Head, Barnes. Told him I loved Colosseum, had seen them a couple of times, and asked, "Why not get the band back together?" He laughed. Barbara and Paraphernalia were brilliant, so that was his answer to me at that time. So happy Colosseum reformed nearly 20 years after that encounter. He was a truly great musician, a good man and I, like many, miss him very much. Still often play his music.
