I took a Jazz 101 class in college and we were asked to write a paper about a jazz musician as our final assignment. I somehow hit on Jon Hiseman for my subject and looked for every album of his I could find. I had some Colloseum, Jack Bruce, Colloseum II as my starting points and they all opened my ears to new and fascinating sounds and rhythms. I am so glad I wrote that paper and discovered Jon's work. I hope his family and friends find some solace in his legacy.... Collapse
