Book of Remembrance

I was aware of Jon Hiseman, via Georgie Fame, Graham Bond and John Mayall. However, it wasn't until I saw Colosseum, at The Marquee Club in Wardour Street, that I became a lifelong fan. John Mayall, whose band Dick, Jon and Tony, had recently left to form Colosseum, got up on stage and did a few numbers with them. This tacit affirmation from The Father Of The British Blues, was to stand them in good stead. I saw them many times after that and must say, that the amount of pleasure I have derived from live performance and recorded works by these musicians is incalculable. I would like to thank them all and to offer my sincere condolences to Jon and Dick's families and friends. Also to those of all the other Heroes, who have passed over.... Collapse
