Book of Remembrance

I was aware of Jon's playing via Georgie Fame, Graham Bond and John Mayall. I became a committed fan having seen Colosseum, for the first time at The Marquee, in Wardour Street. John Mayall, whose band Dick, Jon and Tony, had recently left to form Colosseum, got up on stage and did a few numbers with them. This blessing from The Father Of British Blues, augured well for the band's future. The amount of pleasure, I have gleaned from both live performances and recorded works by these musicians, is incalculable. I would like to say a huge thank you to them all and offer my sincere condolences to the families of Jon, Dick and all the other Heroes that have passed over.... Collapse
